Hi torralba - indeed the D800e and the Zeiss lenses are a winning combination - regardless of the focal length. I am not an optical engineer but I am pretty sure the 135 APO and the 35 1.4 are actually capable of exceeding the resolution/detail (if these are correct technical terms) of the D800e sensor - when I have enlarged images in CS6 to 1600% the lens is still delivering detail that is beyond what the individual pixels appear to represent - My feeling is this generation of Zeiss lenses will continue to exceed the design and image processing firmware limits of digital sensors for the foreseeable future - I will post some cropped sections of images to try and demonstrate the effect
