There's certainly a feeling of depth here, of being able to move into the scene. My first thought was of familiarity, not this specific spot, but that it could be somewhere in the western slopes of the Cascade Range in the NW USA. Boyhood home, though I now live in drier country. :)

The "white water" in the background are the waves on the Nash Sandbar, a very dangerous navigational hazard that has claimed many ships over the years and the main reason for the lighthouse at Nash Point.
